Art 1 is beginning a Zentangle project. If you don't know what a Zentangle is, look at the examples below. They are square designs, usually in black and white, meant to free and relax the mind. We studied the basics of Color Theory and Color Mixing along with Pattern and Value (some of the Elements and Principles of Design) The Zentangle that students will create will utilize all of the knowledge of these Elements of art they've learned and studied so far. This project will also allow students to appreciate attention to detail and consider every small part of their artwork.
